Zhoushan Haisheng Biology, Co., Ltd. was founded in 2006 with a registered capital of 16 million yuan and a plant area of 16723 ㎡.
       The company is located in Zhanmao Industrial Park, Putuo District, Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. Relying on the rich marine resources of Zhoushan Fishing Ground, the largest fishing ground in China, the company produces chitin series products with shrimp and crab shells as raw materials. In order to adapt to market needs and enhance its competitiveness, the enterprise has innovated and optimized its product structure. In 2018, it added a new product, Glycerol Phosphatidylcholine (GPC), which is a key intermediate for the latest treatment of Alzheimer is disease internationally. In 2021, it added a food grade chitosan production line and obtained a food production license, with an annual production of 200 tons of various types of chitosan.
       In order to meet the needs of European and American markets, the company has successfully developed non irradiation sterilization process, which has solved the problem of chitosan microbial index control for domestic innovation.
        The company attaches great importance to environmental protection production, and has invested over 18 million yuan in sewage treatment equipment and facilities over the years, forming a daily sewage treatment capacity of 1000 tons and a sewage treatment tank capacity of over 8000 tons.
         In 2022, after extensive research and tests, the company carried out the research on the High tech Industrialization Project of Biological Enzymatic Treatment of Shrimp Shells through cooperation with the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and determined the process direction of using biological enzymatic treatment of shrimp shells to produce chitin. This project uses lactic acid bacteria to ferment to produce acid to remove calcium carbonate from shrimp shells, uses acid protease to remove protein, and recycles protein as feed for comprehensive utilization.
         After years of development, the company has now entered a new development trajectory.
